Delivery Policy
We will arrange the delivery of the Goods to the Delivery Address provided by the customer at the point they submit to this order. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an accurate Delivery Address and there is an option when placing your order to provide delivery instructions. We cannot be responsible for orders sent to incorrect addresses if the address in question was provided at the point of order. If you wish to update your Delivery Address after your order is submitted, please call our team on 01603 713391 as soon as possible and we will do our best to help you. This phone line is open from 9am to 5:30pm, UK time.
We will own all Goods comprised in your Order until such time as we receive cleared funds the payment of your order in full. You shall be responsible for all Goods from the time of delivery.
Our obligation to arrange the delivery of the Goods will be discharged when the Goods are received and signed for at the Delivery Address by a person who appears to be: (i) authorised to take delivery and sign the delivery documentation presented by the courier and (ii) over 18. We cannot accept any instructions to leave the Goods in any location, however secure, without being signed for.
In most cases, we will use an external courier to deliver the Goods. All Orders will be delivered on working days, between 8am and 9pm for residential addresses and between 8am and 6pm for business addresses. We cannot specify the time at which Goods will be delivered. For the avoidance of doubt, time shall not be of the essence for delivery of the Goods.
The carrier will attempt to deliver the Goods three times, after which the intended recipient will be responsible for making arrangements with the carrier for delivery of the Goods. The carrier will return your Order to us, usually within 7 days following the failed third attempt, if it has not been collected or a suitable redelivery agreed with the carrier. If the Order needs to be dispatched again, either to the Delivery Address or another address, such dispatch shall be subject to an additional delivery charge, in line with those stated here.
We do not deliver to addresses outside the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or to Post Office Boxes.
We currently have the following delivery options:
Standard Delivery
Our Standard Delivery charge is £6.95, provided that the Goods are delivered to a single recipient at a single Delivery Address and unless delivery is included in the stated price.
Orders over £100 in value: may be eligible for free Standard Delivery, provided that the Goods are delivered to a single recipient at a single Delivery Address.
Orders for delivery to more than one recipient and address: the charges of £6.95 will apply for each recipient, for each address.
Where you purchase, or are eligible for Standard Delivery for the Goods, we shall use our reasonable endeavours to deliver such Goods within 3 Working Days of the order being confirmed to Delivery Addresses in the United Kingdom.
Next-Day Delivery
Our Next-Day Delivery charge is £6.95 regardless of the value of your order, provided that the Goods are delivered to a single recipient at a single Delivery Address.
The deadline for despatching orders to be delivered the next working day is 2pm, UK time. Next-Day Delivery purchased as part of orders placed after 2pm will be despatched the following working day.
Where you purchase, or are eligible for Standard Delivery for the Goods, we shall use our reasonable endeavours to deliver such Goods within 3 Working Days of the order being confirmed to Delivery Addresses in the United Kingdom.
Saturday Delivery
Our Saturday Delivery charge is £11.95 regardless of the value of your order, provided that the Goods are delivered to a single recipient at a single Delivery Address.
Orders placed with Saturday Delivery for delivery to more than one recipient and address will be subject to the Saturday Delivery charge for each different recipient: the charges set out above will apply for each recipient, for each address.
Where you purchase Saturday Delivery for the Goods, we shall use our reasonable endeavours to deliver such Goods on the Saturday, provided that the Order is placed midnight on the preceding Thursday. Saturday Delivery is not available for business addresses.
We reserve the right to vary the delivery charges set out in Standard, Next-Day and Saturday delivery at any time.
We will not be liable for any late delivery.
Returns Policy
In the rare event that you should receive a suspected faulty product please re-cap and call us on 01603 713391 or email info@theromanianwinecoltd.co.uk. Our advisers will be able to help you determine whether your wine is faulty or is showing a typical or temporary characteristic. In the case of a faulty product we will arrange collection of the remaining wine and on receipt, refund you or send you a replacement.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
